The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah offers many programs for families with young children, aimed at celebrating Shabbat and holidays together as a community as well as enriching observances in their own homes. Participate in these events to learn, observe and form friendships that will last for years to come!

Young children (or children-at-heart) and their families are invited to Share Shabbat with us each month! Rabbi Josh Leighton and Laura Payne, along with our friends from the J and PJ Library, will lead a family- friendly service with music, stories, and a special activity. Each month features a fun theme:

  • October: Fall Harvest (The J)
  • November: Gratitude (B’nai Jehudah)
  • December: Island Getaway (The J)
  • January: Tu B’Shevat (B’nai Jehudah)
  • February: Love Yourself – Be Yourself (The J)
  • March: Purim (B’nai Jehudah)
  • April: Passover (The J)
  • May: Spring into Summer (B’nai Jehudah)

Holiday Activities

Children’s programs are offered on various holidays and are designed to explore some of the central lessons of each holiday. Check the bulletin for dates and times.
