Vickie Kennedy has brought her three passions to Beth El virtually from its inception. She loves Judaism, she loves kids, and she is absolutely convinced and committed that our students are our future. After a career in public education, she devoted her energy to developing programs at Beth El designed to inform and inspire our young people. We are taught “to serve the Holy One with joy.” We are so blessed to have an educator who embodies that sacred commitment. If you ever find yourself in need of joy we encourage you to visit Beth El on any Sunday. You will see students laughing and learning and experiencing Judaism as the source of wisdom and meaning.
In addition to Beth El, Vickie loves spending time with her wonderful daughters, Rachel and Sara, and her precious grandchildren, Harper, Lily, Henley, and Merrick.

Cantorial Soloist
Laurie Simmons shares her passion for Jewish learning in everything that she does. She is an educator and a life-long learner. Laurie is a Cantorial Soloist, a B’nei Mitzvah Tutor, and a certified Special Education Teacher. People are drawn to her warm and friendly personality. She has served on several boards within the Jewish community and in multiple leadership roles. She loves music and song leading; she aspires to become clergy. She is dedicated to her family and the Jewish community.
